We are located in Picton, on the northern tip of New Zealand’s South Island.  We moved into our new, modern, purpose-built facility in 2017. It provides state-of-the-art facilities and plenty of space for our medical team.  We are owned by South Link Health Services and are part of a supportive, nationwide group of 23 general practices.

Our Team
We are a supportive, close-knit team of General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, a Health Care Assistant, Health Coach, Practice Manager and Admins. Picton Medical is a semi-rural practice, where we build meaningful relationships with our patients.

Our Patients
We have over 5,300 registered patients.

We are committed to equity, inclusivity and cultural competency.  Our team participates in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Privacy and Child Safety, cultural competency and Rainbow Awareness and Inclusion training.

Staff and Training
We conduct full inductions onsite for all new staff members and provide ongoing training to keep up to date with regulations.  We have weekly full team meetings.  We are Foundation and Cornerstone accredited.

About Us
We are open Monday to Friday and operate morning and afternoon sessions.  Each session has twelve 15-minute patient appointments.

We use the latest version of cloud-based Medtech Evolution as our Patient Management System, and we have Manage My Health, so patients can look at their results, book appointments and order repeat prescriptions.

We have a Dunedin-based South Link Health IT team who are supportive and knowledgeable and assist whenever we encounter issues.
